Inordinate delays are observed in techno-economic appraisal of DPRs of hydroelectric projects in CEA/CWC/ other central agencies due to various reasons.It has been identified that one of the important factors for these inordinate delays is the delay in communication of observations / comments of CEA and other central agencies to the Project Authorities (CPSUs/ State Govts./ IPPs) and compliance by the Project Authorities through conventional system. In order to reduce the communication time and to expedite the process of project appraisal CEA has decided to use a web- enabled system for the purpose of communicating the desired information and monitoring the process of project appraisal.
